This Maths Olympiad course is designed to teach the major strategies of problem solving, to foster mathematical creativity, and to stimulate enthusiasm and love for the types of problems that students encounter in competitive mathematics such as the APSMO Maths Olympiad and the Australian Mathematics Trust competitions. We seek to expose students to a variety of higher-level problem solving strategies where they have the opportunity to apply these to practical Olympiad-style examination questions with the facilitation of our expert teachers.
Our Maths Olympiad classes involve high order problem solving and therefore students participating must have a proven solid understanding of mathematical concepts and principles including strong grasp of addition, subtraction, multiplication and division in order to participate successfully.
In these classes we seek to expose students to a variety of higher-level problem solving strategies where they have the opportunity to apply these to practical Olympiad-style examination questions with the facilitation of our expert teachers.
